After several international phone calls, hundreds of calming pills, liters and liters of herbal teas and tons and tons of patience, my photographic equipment... is finally home!!
That happened only four days after I wrote my journal regarding this matters, and it was kind of funny because that morning I was fixing breakfast for my sweetheart and me when I noticed that a well-known brown truck was slowly passing by our house. My first thought was that the driver was looking for some other address and took my eyes off of the street... hey! I didn't want to burn the water... lol.
All of a sudden, the truck stopped right in front of our porch, four guys in uniform got down from the vehicle and the driver came right towards the door with some electronic device in his hands. Needless to say, my heart started pumping so fast and I only could yell: "Oh, my Goth... Drakko!... They are here!... THEY ARE HERE!!!...". He came running and stumbling with eyes wide open and asked me what was the problem and if I was OK (I guess he was picturing a bunch of aliens and flying saucers), but by that time I was already running to the door and left him with a hot turner in the hand.
As soon as I got outside, the driver was about to ask for my name and address when I said: "PLEASE! Tell me your truck is full of photographic equipment". The guy just smiled and, giving the electronic device to me, just said: "Yes, it is. Sayuri Saito, right? Please sign here... Hey, guys, let's move!!"
The five guys spent about 20 minutes moving all the equipment in while Drakko was checking, line by line, the long list of issues and I was running all over the place saying silly things like: "My lens!... my support!... my paper!" and a funny feeling was growing deep inside of me as long as the living room was buried with boxes, plastic bags and any kind of packages you can imagine... you know, like a little child that finally discovers where the birthday presents are, get it?
There were a total of 618 kilograms (about 1,360 pounds) of equipment and I couldn't hardly wait to open them all but, as usual, Drakko had to administrate my excitement to avoid me spoiling the packages or throwing away the important papers that came along with that stuff.
Eto... I wonder why I'm just not capable to communicate myself with few words... hihihihi... I'm like the green parrot of journals, right? Well, I'd better end this right here and right now. Just wanted to tell everybody I'm happy for this and working harder than usual.
OK, take care, my dear friends... mata ne!
P.S. By the way, the Journal's title means "Yes, My Photographic Equipment Is Finally Here!"... silly me, huh?
